Making 100 Hibbidys

The Hibbidys start out in a low fire white clay.  Here they begin with just eye sockets

Clay sculpting process is finished.  Now they sit and wait until they are sufficiently dry to go into the kiln for a bisque firing.

After the hibbidys get bisque fired, they then need to be glazed. I use underglazes for their super brightness. Each hibbidy is individually painted by hand. No two are the same.

Here we are, all 100 Hibbidys and one very tired Reina.

One last thing.  Each hibbidy is dipped in clear glaze.  Now off to load up the van and fire at my friend Joel's studio
